Why to be Kind

Hello!
Welcome back to my blog.
This time we're gonna be talking about why to be kind. So we all know that kindness is done out of goodwill and that too without expecting a return. Then, one may ask what may I get out of it?
To be honest, nothing materialistically, unless you were lucky enough to be kind to an extremely rich person who may end up gifting you a luxurious car...
Okay, now back to reality.
Jokes apart, the effect kindness can have emotionally and mentally, is priceless. As I said in my first blog, kindness plays an extremely important role in how you make people around you feel about you. By saying an extra 'sorry', by helping someone or by feeding a poor person or an animal, you can literally lighten up someone's day. You never know what the other person is going through, and what effect a rude statement can have on them mentally. Just by being kind, if you can make someone happy and bring a smile on their face, then there's nothing more rewarding.
I remember reading it somewhere recently that a person suffering from chronic depression called up his psychiatrist in the middle of the night to inform him that he was about to suicide. Now the psychiatrist was not obliged to pick up a client's call in the middle of the night, but he did. He reminded his client of all the things in his life that were worth living for and talked to him on call. Next time they met, the psychiatrist asked him that exactly which statement of his prevented him from suiciding ? He said that it was not what the psychiatrist said to him, but the fact that he was kind enough to pick up his call in the middle of the night and talk to him.
This is the effect kindness can have on someone.
Think of the satisfaction the psychiatrist would have gotten by literally saving a life. This is what you get by being kind.
Also, by being kind to the air, earth or water by not polluting them, we can expect great outcomes in the future because in return, they will make our planet a more livable place for us.
By being kind, you make other people more comfortable around you, you make people want to talk to you and help you when you need it. You make people happy and sometimes, get them to smile in the middle of a bad day. You make earth a more livable place for the future generations and derive the utmost satisfaction out of these acts of kindness
This is why you must be kind.
